*A Section Caretaker keeps an eye on a section of the Path or trail and either lets us know about any issues or takes care of the issue. For example, if a tree or large branch falls on a Path section, the Caretaker either contacts us to clear it or clears it on their own. A Caretaker also acts as an ambassador to the community on behalf of MRP when out on the Path or a trail. They’ll let Path and trail users know about dog policies, other nearby sections, local restaurants and businesses, and maybe even what kind of bird that is over there. Section caretakers undergo brief training.
