Families with little ones can rejoice now that StoryWalk® is back on the Mad River Path! Starting on the Warren Path just north of the elementary school at the kiosk, you can find 21 book pages over a distance of a quarter-mile crossing the meadow and into the woods through the jumping grasshoppers, over a rock bridge, along erosion-preventing check-dams, and under chattering red squirrels. The featured book, "The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend," by Dan Santat, is an award winning kid’s book written for kids ages 4-8. More StoryWalk® projects will roll out this summer on other Mad River Path sections, along with additional Mad River Valley Libraries 2020 Summer Learning Program activities under the theme "Imagine Your Story." StoryWalk® is brought to MRV residents and visitors by a partnership between the Mad River Path and Mad River Valley Libraries with support from the Vermont Department of Libraries.
