You might recall that we restored a section of the Mill Brook Trail in 2019. This section that starts at the Swanson Inn was lost for several years after trees and other plants grew in, the wetland claimed old boards laid on the ground, and fallen logs covered the old trail. MRP’s trail manager, David Hodgon, headed up on the hill, owned by Karen Anderson (Mad River Vet Service), and built the new trail that winds up the hill and over seven new bridges. David had a lot of fun with this one!
Last fall, we decided the new section needed a new grand entrance and a way for people to keep their feet dry, so Board member Charlie Hosford designed a curved boardwalk and we applied for funds through the Outdoor Gear Exchange. OGE awarded us a grant and we hammered out the new boardwalk in early June 2020. Enjoy!!!
